Concept maps are that tool, paper or digital, used mostly as a support of the stupente in educational activities.
They are recognized by the PDP, the personalized teaching plan, since their purpose is precisely to support the study for those students diagnosed with ASD (Specific Learning Disorders).
The concept maps, in their more or less elaborate graphic representation, include all those notions and knowledge that, highlighted in the paper, help to bring out the meanings of what will have to be learned or support the student in carrying out an exercise or task in class.
The main difference between concept map and mind map is the type of structure which, in the first, is static similar to an organization chart or flowchart where, usually starting from above, as many ramifications are inserted as there are concepts to be associated with the subject under study. Mind maps, on the other hand, have the characteristic of being more flexible and dynamic as they do not respect a fixed scheme.
